When a store negligently exposes a customer to a tripping hazard, it can result in the customer suffering a trip and fall accident. Such accidents can result in a customer suffering injuries. Injuries suffered in a trip and fall accident can have significant impacts on an individual's life. Thus, it is very important for stores to act properly in regards to their premises.

Recently, a case involving an alleged trip and fall accident has arisen in Texas. The accident allegedly occurred on September 2, 2011 at a department store that is located in a mall in Texas. Reportedly, that day, a woman was shopping in the store. According to the woman, a display had been left in the middle of a walkway in the store. The woman claims that she tripped on this display and fell.

The woman alleges that the store failed to act properly in regards to its premises and that this negligence caused her accident. According to the woman, this accident caused her to suffer injuries.

According to the Ultimate Memorial article which reported this story, the woman has brought a lawsuit in a court in Texas in connection to these allegations. The department store and one of its managers have been named as defendants in the woman's lawsuit. In her lawsuit, the woman reportedly is asking for damages.

As the allegations in this case underscore, premises-related negligence by stores can be very harmful. No customer of a store should have to suffer harm because the store failed to act properly in connection to its premises.
